Removals in Maidstone by our own crews. Book a free survey.

We carry out house removals in Maidstone from our depot at Woolmans Wood in Chatham, beside M2 junction 3. Every crew member is employed, trained and uniformed by Rubix, never agency staff, and the same crew loads and unloads.

We are members of Move Assured. Each move starts with a free survey, in person or by video call, followed by a bespoke, no obligation quote.

This page covers the town and the villages around it. For what a move day includes, see house removals, or browse the full list of areas we cover across Kent.

I can't recommend Rubix enough. The quote was comparable to other local companies but their service was brilliant which is what made me go with them. Helen was so friendly and helpful, even driving out of her way on a Friday evening to deliver some boxes before the move. Communication throughout was fantastic and nothing was too much of a problem. Brendan and Tom did the move and they were really professional and respectful. The whole thing was really stress free for me, I will absolutely use them again and recommend them to anyone else looking for movers.

Absolutely the best moving service we have ever used. Really friendly and hard working. Can fit big things in to small places. (Tall fridges into really small doorways lol) Would highly recommend and use again. Thanks again boys.

The Rubix team were excellent, everything you would want from a removal team. Friendly, polite, respectful and professional. They handled all my quirky furniture requests without any issues and good humour.

Absolutely five star, the team turned up exactly on time. They were all courteous, professional and very quick! Furniture and boxes were handled with care. The removal was totally stress free and a pleasure to work with these guys. Would recommend them to anyone and will be using them again when I move from storage to my new home. The price was very reasonable.

Rubix removals helped our family of 4 relocate from Kent to Norfolk. They were so professional, helpful and patient during the whole very long day! I couldn’t fault anything and am so appreciative of their hard work! They arrived on time and got stuck straight in with loading the vans, double checking what was going and what was staying, they checked each room was completed before starting on the garden. When we arrived at our new property everything was taken to the correct areas, which allowed me to start unpacking the kitchen and bedroom bits. All of our items arrived in perfect condition, with no damage, and the bits we couldn’t pre pack - like our TV were wrapped carefully for the journey. I couldn’t recommend Rubix removals highly enough and will be recommending you for our family and friends future moves! Thank you all so much for making our move much less stressful 😊

I used this service to move house recently the team were very friendly and approachable. They were very respectful of both properties when moving boxes and furniture, and were happy to check with me first if they were unsure of something. They always responded to my message quickly which made the move easier.

What a fantastic team and bunch of guys. They made our stressful move so much easier, and were so helpful, relaxed and assuring. I hope we don’t move again soon! - but if we do, I’d go straight back to Rubix. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

Will & his staff were absolutely brilliant, going the extra mile on both my medium size house move ( & separate garage move). Incredibly hard working & careful to put everything where asked, dismantled complex furniture & constructed shelving, with no breakages. They scarcely stopped, even for a tea break. Amazing job ! 5 stars without question.

Fantastic team who went above and beyond to help us with a tricky move. Would recommend them to anyone. Thanks again
MOVING IN MAIDSTONE

How we plan removals in Maidstone

Our survey plans the move around the town, not just the house. In the centre, the Bridges gyratory one-way system and controlled parking mean we agree where the van stands and when it arrives before move day, so nobody is circling the town with a full load.

The older terraces around the river and the Archbishop’s Palace have narrow frontages, steps and on-street parking. We size the crew and the van to the street, bring protective covers, and carry everything the last few metres by hand.

Out towards Kings Hill and the newer estates off the M20, driveways and turning space usually let a larger van park at the door. Kings Hill itself is covered on our West Malling removals page.

Moving to or from London? Maidstone sits on the M20, which runs straight to the M25 and the A20 into south-east London, so we plan a London move as one day with one crew.

Villages we cover around Maidstone

The crews and vans on our Maidstone removals also cover the villages around the town. Each is a short run from the centre, so a village move is planned exactly like one in town.

  • Bearsted sits east of the town around its green, with the station on the Maidstone East line to London Victoria a short walk away.
  • Loose lies two miles south at the head of the Loose Valley conservation area, where steep lanes and period cottages mean we check access at the survey.
  • Boughton Monchelsea is on the greensand ridge south of Loose, where Church Hill looks out across the Weald.
  • Aylesford, four miles north-west, is the riverside village with the medieval five-arched bridge over the Medway, reached off the M20 and a short run from our depot.
  • Barming runs along the Tonbridge Road west of the centre and is home to Maidstone Hospital on Hermitage Lane, so we time loading around the hospital traffic.
  • Allington is the modern village along the A20 London Road beside M20 junction 5, with Allington Castle and the lock on the Medway below it.

We also cover West Malling, Sevenoaks and the Medway Towns from the same depot.
